“Teach me to stand and speak to the storms while I rest in you.”
One of the things I love about this quote, from my book Can You Sleep Like This? In the Rest of God, is how many layers there are within such a simple sentence. Summer normally brings flowers, gardens, fun, vacation, and family time, but also afternoon storms, and hurricane season in some areas.
Rest isn’t just something that only happens to us once the storm subsides. Rest is something we can learn to reach even when the wildest storm is right above us. The storm is only temporary!
